New York Yankees Equipment Manager thanks Statewide

The following praise for Speed Queen laundry equipment is taken from a letter written by David Hayes, Equipment Manager for the New York Yankees (1996 & 1997 World Champions) to Statewide Commercial Laundry Equipment. The letter is dated July 24, 1997

"I want to take a couple of minutes to say thank you to all the members of the Statewide team. When you came to me about putting Speed Queen laundry equipment at our New York Yankees facility, I was impressed with everything Speed Queen and Statewide had to offer.

First of all,"Made in America" means a lot to me and the entire New York Yankee organization. As you know, we are the "boys of summer," playing a game referred to as "America's pastime." I also want to make note of the professionalism displayed by everybody I came in contact with at Statewide, particularly the sales person I dealt with. You have assembled an impressive team. Your ability to respond quickly and satisfactorily to all my needs is a real asset.

Most importantly, I want to tell you what the Speed Queen washers and dryers have meant to me and the New York Yankees. I used to spend a lot of my time managing our organization's laundry needs. The time required to complete the day's laundry was a drawn-out process. From day one, our investment in Speed Queen equipment (two 80 lb. and one 50 lb. washer and two 75 lb. dryers) has paid off in labor and utility savings. The time required to complete our laundry has dropped dramatically. We save money by paying fewer man hours, my time managing the laundry process is reduced, but more importantly, the uniforms have looked so much better. Grass stains don't require nearly the extra attention they used to because of the cleaning process provided by the Speed Queen washers.
